precision, purpose, and a passion for people

Meet Dr. Vincent Yang

Dr. Yang's path to dentistry is anything but ordinary. Born in Seattle, WA while his parents completed their PhD studies, he grew up attending an international school in Taipei, Taiwan before returning to the United States for college. He went on to earn both his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Southern California, where he even published research on using a custom virtual reality cycling game to help lower the risk of Alzheimer's disease. It was during those years of study and service that he realized dentistry offered exactly what he was looking for: a way to combine his love of engineering with his love of people.

Dr. Yang completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of California, San Francisco School of Dentistry, one of the most respected dental programs in the country, and went on to complete his General Practice Residency at the West Los Angeles Veterans Affairs Dental Services program. That experience sharpened his clinical skills across a wide range of complex cases and reinforced his commitment to treating every patient with the thoroughness and respect they deserve.

At Dental Duo & Co., Dr. Yang's areas of focus include extractions, dental implants, oral surgery, and bone grafting. He brings a precise, engineering-minded approach to every procedure, always thinking about how today's care sets the foundation for your long-term health. He uses advanced technology including CBCT imaging and intraoral scanners to ensure accurate diagnoses and thoughtful treatment planning from the start.

Outside of the office, Dr. Yang enjoys playing volleyball, gaming, and spending time with his family. He is a proud member of the California Dental Association (CDA), American Dental Association (ADA), the Orange County Dental Society (OCDS), and the San Gabriel Valley Dental Society (SGVDS).

artistry, empathy, and a calling to serve

Meet Dr. Trini Wong

Dr. Wong was born in Monterey Park, CA and raised in Taipei, Taiwan alongside her two older sisters and younger brother. She attended a local Taiwanese school before transferring to the same international school where she would later meet Dr. Yang. Her drive to help others led her to Scripps College in Claremont, CA, where she majored in Biology and minored in Economics. It was during her very first year of college, on a mission trip to Lima, Peru with MEDLIFE (Medicine, Education, and Development for Low Income Families Everywhere), that her path became clear. Shadowing Dr. Miriam, a local dentist who was transforming patients' lives with her hands and her heart, Dr. Wong knew she had found her calling.

She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude and was a part of two honor societies: Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU) Honor Society and Tau Kappa Omega (TKO) Dental Honor Society. She then completed her Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency at UCLA Westwood, where she deepened her expertise in restorative and esthetic dentistry. Before dental school, she also founded the Claremont Consortium's 5C Pre-Dental Club, bringing together students passionate about dentistry and building a community around that shared purpose, a value she carries into her practice every day.

At Dental Duo & Co., Dr. Wong's clinical focus is in fixed restoratives and cosmetic dentistry, including veneers, bonding, and enamel contouring. She approaches every smile with the eye of an artist and the care of someone who understands that confidence and health are deeply connected. Her patients consistently describe her as warm, thorough, and genuinely invested in helping them feel their best.

When she's not in the office, Dr. Wong enjoys doing pilates, making DIY projects with her Cricut machine, baking her signature chocolate chiffon cake with strawberries, and spending time with her family. She is a proud member of the California Dental Association (CDA), American Dental Association (ADA), the Orange County Dental Society (OCDS), and the San Gabriel Valley Dental Society (SGVDS).

The people behind your care

A team that feels like family

From the moment you call or walk through our door, you'll be greeted by a team that genuinely cares about making your experience a great one. Our team is warm, attentive, and here to make sure every visit feels comfortable, clear, and taken care of. We speak English, Mandarin, and Spanish, so you can always feel at home.

Your first visit

We make it easy to get started

We know that trying a new dentist can feel like a big step, and we've designed your first visit to make that as easy and reassuring as possible. From the moment you contact us to the moment you leave, our goal is to make sure you feel informed, comfortable, and genuinely cared for. Dr. Yang and Dr. Wong take the time to conduct a thorough exam, review your dental history, and talk through any concerns you may have before making any recommendations.

Patient Experience

Your first appointment will include a comprehensive oral exam, X-rays, and a one-on-one conversation with your doctor about your oral health and goals. We don't rush through appointments, and we won't recommend anything without walking you through the why, the what, and the how. Whether you're coming in for routine preventive care or to address something specific, you'll leave with a clear picture of where your smile stands and a plan that makes sense for you. We're here to answer every question, no matter how big or small.

What To Bring

Please have the following ready for your first visit:

A valid photo ID

Your insurance card (if applicable)

A list of any current medications

Any relevant dental records or X-rays from a previous provider (if available)

Your completed new patient forms (we'll send these digitally ahead of your appointment)

Comfort and care, from the waiting room to the treatment chair

We've put thought into every corner of our office because we believe the experience of coming to the dentist should feel welcoming, not stressful. From the amenities in our reception area to the technology we use during your treatment, everything is here to make your visit more comfortable, more efficient, and more you.

Little comforts that make a big difference

We want you to feel at ease the moment you walk in. Our office is stocked with thoughtful touches designed to help you relax, settle in, and feel taken care of before your name is even called.

Coffee, tea & water station

Help yourself to a warm cup of coffee, tea, or a glass of water when you arrive. We want your visit to feel welcoming from the very first moment, and a little hospitality goes a long way.

Earplugs

For patients who prefer a quieter experience, we have earplugs available to help you tune out any background noise during your appointment. Sometimes a small thing makes all the difference.

Support pillows

We offer support pillows to keep you comfortable during longer appointments. Your physical comfort matters to us just as much as your dental health.

Shades and eye protection

Bright dental lights can be uncomfortable, so we provide shades and eye protection to shield your eyes during treatment. It's a small detail that makes the whole experience more pleasant.

Lip balm

Keeping your lips comfortable during treatment is something we've thought about too. We have lip balm on hand so you can stay comfortable from start to finish.

Nitrous oxide (laughing gas)

For patients who experience dental anxiety, we offer nitrous oxide to help you relax during treatment. It's a safe, effective, and fast-acting option that wears off quickly so you can get on with your day.

Technology that works as hard as we do

We believe that better tools lead to better care. The technology we use at Dental Duo & Co. allows us to diagnose with greater precision, plan more predictable treatment outcomes, and deliver results that are minimally invasive and built to last.

3D intraoral scanner

We use one of the most advanced intraoral scanners available, allowing us to take highly accurate digital scans of your teeth without the mess or discomfort of traditional impressions. It is also used as a part of our Wellness Scans, giving us the ability to track dental health changes over time, allowing you an even deeper insight into your oral health. This technology helps us plan and deliver restorations, aligners, and other treatments with greater precision and efficiency.

Intraoral camera

Our intraoral camera lets us show you exactly what we see during your exam, giving you a clear, real-time view of your oral health. Being able to see your own teeth up close helps you understand your treatment needs and feel confident in the recommendations we make.

CBCT imaging

Cone Beam CT (CBCT) imaging gives us a detailed, three-dimensional view of your teeth, roots, jaw, and bone structure that traditional X-rays simply can't provide. This level of detail is especially important for implant planning, surgical procedures, and complex diagnoses, allowing us to develop the most accurate and safe treatment plan possible.

Soft-tissue laser

Our soft-tissue laser allows us to perform certain gum-related procedures with greater precision and less discomfort than traditional methods. Laser treatment typically means less bleeding, faster healing, and a more comfortable recovery, which is a win for everyone.

Giving back to Brea and beyond

Building a healthier community, one smile at a time

Dr. Yang and Dr. Wong didn't open Dental Duo & Co. just to run a dental practice. They opened it because they genuinely care about the community around them. As they continue to grow, they are actively working toward establishing dental screening programs and outreach initiatives in local neighborhoods and schools, including providing sports guards for student athletes. They believe that access to good dental care is something every member of the community deserves, and they are committed to making that a reality right here in Brea and the surrounding areas. Stay tuned as these programs take shape, and reach out if you'd like to get involved.
